Paper.IO 2 is a territory game where every trip outside your land creates both an opportunity and a risk. Moving into neutral space leaves a colored trail behind you. Return that trail to your existing territory and the enclosed area becomes yours. The danger is that an opponent can touch your exposed trail before you reconnect it, ending the run immediately. You can also eliminate rivals by cutting their trails, so expansion and defense happen at the same time. Smooth movement, readable colors, and short rounds make the rules easy to understand, but controlling a large percentage of the map requires restraint and awareness.
How to Play
Move away from your colored territory to draw a trail, curve around a section of the map, and reconnect with your land to claim it. Protect your exposed line and cut through enemy trails when a safe chance appears. Continue expanding while watching nearby opponents and the edges of your current area.

Use WASD or the arrow keys on desktop. Mouse movement may also be supported. On mobile, swipe to change direction.
